Mehdi obtained his Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering from James Cook University in 2018. His Ph.D. was mainly focused on the numerical investigation of conjugate natural convection boundary layers. The main application of his research is heat transfer in the buildings and ventilation, heating/cooling systems, solar systems and so on. Upon completion of his Ph.D. studies, he joined James Cook University as a Mechanical Engineering Lecturer.
Dr. Khatamifar’s research interests encompass computational fluid dynamics, buoyancy-driven flows, turbulent flows, natural convection, heating/cooling systems, heat sinks, heat exchangers, additive manufacturing, innovative heat-dissipating materials, solar thermal energy, building heating and ventilation, building facade design, etc.
